Rod Daniels

Rod Daniels holds the record for being the longest continuing anchor in the Baltimore market. He has become a fixture for Baltimore viewers on WBAL-TV News at 6 P.M. and 11 P.M.

He graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in speech communications.

Rod began his career as a weekend sports anchor at WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. He then moved to WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh as a weekend anchor and reporter, and later to WISN-TV in Milwaukee.

Rod joined WBAL-TV 11 in 1984 and has become an integral part of the Baltimore community. He spends many hours speaking to school groups and hosting community events.

He won the Catholic Archdiocese Medal of Honor for Communications for his coverage of church activities. During Pope John Paul II's historic visit to Baltimore, Rod served as host of the celebration at Camden Yards.

After the news, Rod enjoys traveling, playing tennis, basketball, biking and listening to music.
