Jordan Wertlieb
Jordan Wertlieb was named President and General Manager of WBAL-TV 11, in June 2005.He brings 20 years of television experience to the helm, of Baltimore's market leading television station, and has spent his entire professional career with the Hearst broadcast family.Wertlieb began his television career in New York in 1986 as a Research Analyst at Katz Communications, a broadcast advertising sales representation firm. In 1989, he became a Television Sales Account Executive, at Katz, representing television stations of Hearst as well as other leading station groups.
Wertlieb, moved to local television in 1993 as National Sales Manager of WCVB-TV, the Hearst owned ABC affiliate in Boston and was promoted to local Sales Manager in 1998. He came to Baltimore as General Sales Manager of WBAL-TV in November 1999.He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a graduate of the National Association of Broadcaster's Leadership Training Program.Wertlieb is a member of the University of Maryland Medical Center's Shock Trauma Board of Visitors. He is also a member of the Greater Baltimore Committee Board of Directors, the Signal 13 Foundation in Baltimore, and serves as a member of the NBC Affiliates Board.
