Sue Nuñez joined WBAL-TV as Controller in May of 2007.

Sue began her media finance career in the late 1980’s, as Business Manager at Northwest Cable Interconnect/Advertising, where she also was involved with the successful launches of a regional cable sports network and a local cable shopping channel. Building upon those successes, she moved on to Controller roles at Northwest Cable News, and at Belo Interactive in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining WBAL and Hearst-Argyle, Sue was the Controller at KOIN-TV in Portland, OR.

Sue holds a BS in Business Administration and is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). She has been an invited speaker at several industry-specific events, including multiple speaking engagements with the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association (BCFM). She has served in an advisory capacity to Big Brothers and Big Sisters, mentored at-risk youth, and she and her son have welcomed several high-school-year foreign exchange students into their family from countries as diverse as Japan, Brazil, Germany and Italy.
