WBAL-TV is the proud media sponsor of Artscape, which was founded in 1982 as a way to promote the arts among the city's residents. The event takes place over three days in late July, and showcases artistic expression of the highest quality.
WBAL-TV joins up with Honfest, which features the Miss Hon contest and takes up four blocks for one weekend each June in historic Hampden.
Hundreds of people jump in the Chesapeake Bay each January for the Polar Bear Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland.
