Broncos Put TE Jackson On IR, Sign Mustard

POSTED: 1:46 pm EST November 20, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos placed tight end Nate Jackson on injured reserve Thursday, ending his season. The club also signed tight end Chad Mustard.

Jackson injured his right hamstring in practice on Wednesday. The 29-year-old has 11 catches for 84 yards and one touchdown for the Broncos this season. Both the catches and yardage were career highs for Jackson, who has played sparingly during his six years in the league, all in Denver.

Mustard, 31, has 12 career catches for 123 yards in his five-year career. He was released by the Broncos earlier this season. The North Dakota product is in his third campaign with Denver after two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
