AIDS March Travels Through Baltimore

POSTED: 5:55 pm EST November 1, 2005

Dozens of people marched through Baltimore Tuesday as part of a 21-day journey to promote AIDS awareness.

The group "Campaign to End AIDS" marched through neighborhoods that have seen high incidences of HIV and AIDS.

"We're here today spreading the word that we need an end to the AIDS epidemic," said Charles King, a march organizer. "We need the leaders of our nation, the state of Maryland, to develop a plan to end the AIDS epidemic -- here in Maryland, in Baltimore and around the world."

The march started in New York City and will end on Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
