Centreville Faces More Fines Over Irrigation Field

POSTED: 8:17 pm EDT May 23, 2005

The town of Centreville faces fines again -- this time from Queen Anne's County.

WBAL-TV 11 News exposed pollution problems at Centreville's Spray Irrigation Field last Friday.

Since then, the Queen Anne's County Commissioners researched the facility and discovered that the town never obtained the proper permits for the site.

Officials said the town was required to seek building and grading permits, 11 News reported.

The county zoning office plans to issue fines and citations in the coming week. The town has already faced numerous state and federal fines in this investigation.
