British Student Earns $1 Million Online

POSTED: 6:21 pm EST December 30, 2005

A British university student, struggling to pay for school, came up with a unique idea that got him $1 million in just four months.

Alex Tew, 21, sold the pixels on the computer screen that make up his Web site to advertisers. At $10 a dot, the young entrepreneur earned $1 million.

Companies ranging from online dating services to eBay have purchased space on the Web site.

Tew now has to decide if he even wants to go to school as he has received dozens of job offers from Internet companies.
